Gwendolyn Flake

Hi! I'm Gwendolyn!
I am a childbirth educator and mama of 2.

I chose to be a childbirth educator because my birth with my first inspired me. I am in complete awe of the power our bodies have and love sharing that with others. Birth is such a beautiful and incredible space that needs to be protected. Whether this is you first or second or even third pregnancy, I believe educating yourself and your birth partner on the ins and outs can help you protect your space.  I would love to help inspire you on your journey into motherhood and show you the power we possess as women. I hope to see you in a future class!

Birth Doula

Natalie Black

Natalie is a Phoenix native currently living in Scottsdale with her husband River and daughter Carmela. Natalie has always been a birth nerd and has supported many friends and families through the steps of birth and early parenthood; but following the birth of her own baby, she decided to follow her passion to step into the birth space and has found her calling there. In addition to being a doula, in her professional life Natalie is also an occupational therapist, specializing in both chronic illness and pelvic health, along with pediatric practice. Providing therapeutic care to so many patients over the years has allowed Natalie to hone her abilities in educating people on how to be informed about their own bodies, along with how to heal from injury and/or trauma. This background gives Natalie a unique skill set as a doula, including helping mothers with pelvic floor preparation and rehabilitation, along with providing a high level of physical support tools and positions during labor.

Natalie believes women are capable, powerful, and deserve to make their own informed decisions about their bodies and their babies during pregnancy, labor, and beyond. She always help her clients know about evidence based practices during their pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum period. Natalie provides loving and professional care to empower women and families. She wants mothers and their partners to feel heard, supported, and proud of how they bring their children into the world. Her goal as a doula is to help normalize birth, and to emotionally and physically help parents be confident birthing on their terms. She strives to bring a safe and peaceful energy to each birth she has the honor of witnessing. Natalie’s favorite thing about birth is when Mamas trust their bodies and their own intuition, and encourages the mothers she serves to listen to their instincts.

    Birth Doula and Birth Photographer

    Bonnie Hornack

Bonnie has been passionate about supporting others most of her life. It was the passion combined with her need to make a positive impact for others that led her to pursue a career in education. After becoming pregnant with her first child in 2017, she took an intense interest in all things childbirth, labor and delivery. She would devour any pieces of information she could obtain to further her knowledge on what was to come. Bonnie is passionate about helping families grow through the birth process. Bonnie’s support style could best be described as knowledgeable, flexible and loving. Bonnie’s compassion for mothers in their most vulnerable state is what lead her to become a Doula. That compassion is what she uses to lead her through labors paying close attention to cues from the laboring person allowing her to make adjustments to various comfort measures. Bonnie’s purpose in becoming a doula is to empower women and families during their pregnancies, labor, delivery and beyond. Every mother deserves dignity, care and power in her most vulnerable time. Bonnie’s background is in the field of education specifically in Early Childhood Education, and Disability Services. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University in elementary education and a Master’s Degree from Northern Arizona University in School Leadership. Bonnie completed her doula training through the training program offered by Babymoon Inn in October of 2020 and is a Certified Doula. When Bonnie is not working, she enjoys spending her time with her daughter and husband or at the gym
